Happy Belated Valentines day!

Basically the title says it all! Happy Belated Valentines day! Well here for us we had a great valentines day because we finally got our first big snowfall and we got a snow day which mean't No school, yay! All day long all the neighboorhood kids including me were outside sleding. At one all of us ventured over to a very steep road that we were able to sled down because will all the icy snow on the roads no cars could even get up that hill, so we were fine. After that we all went over to the Parker's house and had hot chocolate and made some valentines for our mom's and dad's! Here are some pictures of the ones I made! :)

As I mentioned before this snow was VERY ICY. Thats because it basically was ice. It looked like snow but if you looked very close it was all ice pellets. Well the after math of this snow left us with a sheet of very hard packed snow/ice. Its really cool because with this kind of snow/ice you can walk all over it and it will still look perfect and untouched. Well since the aftermath of this snow was hard and very icy it made for some wicked sleding conditions in the days after. Yesterday (saturday) Allison, Tate, Jenny, and I went down to a local park with some friends of theirs and went sledding. Because the snow was basically a sheet of ice the sledding was CRAZY. At all times we had to have adults standing at the bottom of the hill to dive (litteraly) for the kids so we wouldn't end up in the roads. Because the snow was so icy the sledding was really fast and the ice at the same time made it really hard to stop. Overall though we had a blast!

The Great Compromise

Jen and I finally worked out a compromise to her piano practicing and my dance practacing at the same time. (she will play the piano and I'll listen to my music by using the headphones so she can't hear the music from the computer and the headphones block out her music coming from the piano).

(sorry for the bad lighting, I didn't realized it was so dark till after I took the video)

Icy Wonderland?

Makiko's recent moving away finally motivated me to get one of these blog things so we can keep in touch easier, although nothing really exciting has happened here at all for me to update this blog thing. I mean we haven't gotten ANY snow, except for some flurries here and there which always melt by the morning time. Probably the most exciting thing that has happened was last friday night instead of it snowing we got this icy/rainy/slushy mix that left a pure sheet of just under an inch of ice over everything. There was just enough ice for us to enjoy sledding down the Patterson's hill Saturday morning for a couple of hours till we wore all the ice out. Although that icy mix left a nice sheet of ice on the trampoline too! Its cold enough out that the ice is still there too now! Of course as soon as we stepped on the ice it cracked into a million little pieces, but now I'm sure you'll find all the neighboor hood kids out there on the trampoline everyday after school! Having the ice on the trampoline makes it really fun to jump around because you are slipping and sliding all over the trampoline from one side of it to another. Here are some picture of us having a blast on the icy trampoline!

Me Doing a nosedive! (not really, its a flip, but it looks like one!)

If you look closely at the picture above you'll see a blue a yellow spec being flung into the air with the ice, well thats Tate, haha.
